Time to Spray for Bugs

I absolutely HATE to kill bugs and spiders. I always have to call Troy to come get them. He knows that when I walk into a room and gasp, it means there is a bug to be killed. I don't think it is that I am afraid of them. I just hate to squish them and usually they move too fast for me. Troy has very quick reflexes.

Well, today was Troy's long day - working, class, Young Men's - which meant I was on my own. Of course, the two most poisonous spiders in Arizona (I think) decided to make their appearance. Normally, I would have put a cup over them and waited for Troy to come home. However, having a baby around changes everything. I was forced to kill the following in one day. Can I get some kind of reward?

A Brown Recluse. I'm pretty sure this is what it was. We have examined its dead body on a paper towel and compared images on Google to confirm.

A Black Widow.
Troy is spraying our house for bugs tomorrow.

Yikes! I can't kill them either. I really freak out when I see them and Brett makes fun of me. I'm such a girl when it comes to bugs, especially spiders. Ewww.

I think you should have let them both live in honor of Halloween.

Ahhh! Those are both so scary.

Did I get the spider-under-a-cup trick from you? I used to do that all the time. Scott hated coming home to an apartment with upturned cups all over the floor. But what else is a girl supposed to do? But you are right -- for the sake of baby-safety, we women have to do some awful things. My latest solution is to use the hand vacuum against them. And then put the vacuum on the porch, in case they crawl out. Nasty!

You are just like me! I put cups over bugs until Ryan comes home. haha.

And funny that I had to kill a wolf spider yesterday also. I was planning to leave it alone (sat on a picture frame all day) until it started to run up the wall. Noah helped me kill it. bwehhhh.

You're so brave! You're my hero. You definitely deserve a brownie at least for a reward, actually like a whole chocolate cake. On the books I think I'd read the activities for a one year old, as we're approaching that need right away. I'd love your ideas!

I know what you mean about bugs, spiders are my phobia and Mike has to kill them all for me. We just moved into a new apartment and the spiders are coming out to welcome us.
