Silent No Longer

Having lived in Ukraine for a year and a half and experienced the devastating effects of too much government involvement, I found this little image to be amusingly appropriate.

I know I have not lived that long, but I think our country is changing significantly.

Some people are really happy about these changes, some (like me) are not.

I heard talk the other day of the government nationalizing (owning) some banks. The scary thing to me is that it is not even part of the conversation whether or not this is permissible under our Constitution. Not even mentioned.

This is hilarious. I am sending this to my mom and Ukranian brother in law.

Yeah, I have to admit I don't have much "hope" for life under this administration. Apparently, neither does the market, which is down about 20% since Election Day. :(

Its really weird that you point this out, because I know a number of folks, my immigrant LDS grandparents included, who have lived in socialist or communist countries, that moved the to US for economic opportunities, and yet still stand with their socialist views. The entitlement programs are simply a form of government supported enablement. The principles of social motivation that out founding fathers worked to provide are slowly being eroded by well meaning but mis-guided left wingers. I couldn't agree with you more.

Okay Nanc, you know I love you, but...we can't forget how we got into this mess and blame it on Obama. Bush was pushing for stimulus in the last of his administration as well.
