I truly cannot believe that one year ago today I gave birth to Erica. This has been the fastest year of my life. It has also been one of the most challenging, rewarding and different than anything I've ever done. I love little (well, not so little anymore) Erica and I am so glad that she is a part of our lives. It's amazing how much she has grown in just one year. Unlike many blogs I've read, however, I'm not sad that she is getting bigger. I don't miss the newborn days at all. I'm so excited for what is ahead of her and how much fun we are going to have as she continues to learn and grow.

Yummy!! Erica enjoyed the cake, but she didn't love it as much as I thought she would. She was actually pretty clean about the whole affair. I was a little disappointed. I was hoping for more chocolate mess. (:

Happy Birthday to Erica! I know what you mean-- I love every new thing that Jack learns and every new thing he can do for himself (it makes us both happier). I keep telling Rich that 2 1/2 is my favorite age so far :) Love the cake by the way.

Happy Birthday Erica! Wow! Time flies! She is soooo cute! I love her adorable joyful smile! Ellie was the same with wanting to stay clean while eating the cake and I was sad too. She kept showing me her fingers and wanting a napkin. Erica looked to get a good little bit of a mess in comparison! :) It's funny how things in their personality really show at such a young age! I agree, the older my kids get, the more fun they are. When the start talking and walking and running, then you can really play with them.
