Rattlesnake Surprise
Over Easter weekend we were cleaning the weeds out of our yard when we came across this lovely surprise. It's the closest I've ever been to one. It even rattled at Troy. The neighbor boy came over in his army boots to help kill this thing. Thank goodness we got it before it made it to the backyard.
I am now officially PARANOID of snakes.

Easter 2011 Weekend Festivities
I was enjoying reading everyone else's blog so much that it inspired me to catch up on mine a bit.
We were lucky enough to have my mom in town for Easter weekend. It was so great to have her here, even though she didn't feel well. My kids were totally spoiled with Easter surprises.
Erica scored the unicorn pillow pet that she had been asking for. She has appropriately name it, "Pinkalicious Cupcake Unicorn Horn Pet" and she, unfortunately, does not allow for shorter nicknames.
We went to my neighbor's for our annual Easter Egg Hunt.
I tried to help Erica with finding a few eggs. She informed me that she didn't want the eggs I had pointed out. I realized it was because they were the WRONG COLOR! Notice which colors were okay to pick up? Seriously? Does it matter what color chocolate is wrapped in? Apparently so. Sometimes, the only way I know we are related is because I actually birthed her.
Enjoying the loot!
Easter Sunday morning, we had baskets and dresses (from my mom) waiting for the girls. Erica woke up first.
Sadie signing "eat" when she saw the candy.
Basket hats
Sadie was not a fan of Peeps.
