I was hoping that I wouldn't make it another 4 weeks since the last posting, but here we are a little bit bigger and no baby yet. (You can probably tell the smile is really forced). Although this is probably the worst month of my pregnancy due to being uncomfortable and hot, I really can't complain too much. I've had a very easy pregnancy and I'm happy to be able to have a little girl soon - we hope!

Tucson Wildlife
Arizona has this great Desert Museum where you can check out tons of desert wildlife. We just went there on Saturday night and here are some of the highlights.
The Scorpions!!!! I had to make these pictures large so you could see them. They are only about the size of your thumb. The first picture was taken with a flash (so it looks like daylight), but if you look close, you can see it just under the left side of the pinkish/purplish rock.
This next picture was taken of the same scorpion, but without a flash. I am shining a black light on it, which makes them glow in the dark. There's something in their exoskeleton that makes them do this. Feel free to comment if you can shed more light on this amazing phenomenon.

We also saw a couple of tarantulas roaming free through the museum. Yes, that is my hand that close to the spider. Troy was very proud of me.

Tucson Monsoon August 2007
Eight Months or 35 Weeks
This may be the last posting of my belly. At least I hope it is!! I've finally hit the uncomfortable stage where you get the shooting pains down your legs, charley horses, back aches, sore ribs, etc.
We think we would rather have a crying baby now than an uncomfortable Nancee. We may change our minds after it is too late.
Kayla looks ready for the baby to come too. Actually, I think she is hoping I have a treat for her.
The Yard Continued...
Here are a bunch of weeds in the backyard. They are all gone now and we hope to eventually terrace the ground by the cinderblock wall, add grass and extend our patio. Next, is a view from the same hill looking down at Troy and the back patio. He is practicing holding the baby (with Kayla).
Troy spent a lot of time making the front yard look nice. He even chopped down this tree (with a little help from the monsoon storm that already blew it sideways).
The most exciting part of working on the backyard was when I found this toad. Isn't it cute?
