New Camera
I think that it is obligatory for all blogger addicts to break their camera. So I need a new one. Any advice? We want one that will take the picture when you actually push the button, not 2 seconds later. Especially important when you have a baby. Troy says a lot of mega-pixels are good. I can't remember if digital or optical zoom is better. I like good deals too. So I'm open to whatever you can tell us.

Randomness
Who's child is this? I don't know if you can tell, but Erica's legs are about 10 times tanner than mine. We go to all the same places, but somehow she tans better. So not fair!!

Without fail, every trash day in our neighborhood is extremely WINDY!!! We are located on a turn and all the trash is somehow funneled into our yard. This is what we woke up to the day after trash day.

Our Quick Trip
We just returned from our trip to Utah for Troy's Grandma's funeral. It was a whirlwind of a trip, but we feel very fortunate that we were able to attend. Thanks to Troy's parents for making it possible. I wish that we had more time to see everyone. I could probably spend a month in Utah and still not see everyone we wanted to. Since it was such last minute, it was mostly a family affair. Now that we are home, I should be doing laundry and unpacking, but I just can't bring myself to do it yet. I figure blogging counts as doing family history and so I feel less guilty about wasting my time in front of the computer.

In Memory of Grandma Simmons
Last night, Troy's maternal grandmother passed away. We will miss her a lot, but we are glad that she is free from her physical pains and that she can be reunited with her sweetheart who passed away almost 10 years ago. I am so grateful for a gospel that provides us this peace and knowledge. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ who makes all of this possible. She was a wonderful grandma and I'm sad Erica will not know her better. We love you Grandma Simmons!!

Standing on her Own
I've been working with Erica standing on her own. She lasted like this for a little bit, but she is still very wobbly. Although she still hates to be on her stomach, she will often roll onto her tummy and get mad. She rarely returns to her back even though we've seen her do it and know that she can. We've decided she is just lazy and wants us to flip her. I don't think she is going to crawl; I think she will skip right to walking (not any time soon though).

We let Erica try out a "Biter Biscuit" which is basically a really hard graham cracker.

I think she liked it!!
